About Thomas

My training enables me to get to the beating heart of emotional, sexual, psychological, and relational challenges. To best access my own strengths, I tailor my approach based on the strengths and motivations of each person I work with – meaning that we are at our best when we are working together as a team. As I get more into the work I’m doing, my sharp intellect, humor, warmth and focused therapy approaches combine together to create meaningful, lasting awareness and sustainable change. To truly do the art of therapy, education or coaching, there must be a baseline of collaboration and an adventurous spirit. I feel grateful for every moment that I get to co-create a better world with others

My Passion Project

When I first started out in private practice, I was woefully unprepared for the complexities of owning and operating a small business. Quickly, I felt overwhelmed but was thankfully guided by the steady hands of professionals in my orbit. Now, my business is one of my greatest joys! In 2023, I founded The Philatherapy Network (TPN) in Philadelphia, PA to be a resource for therapists who want to take charge of their professional lives. TPN is a private practice “incubator” that gives clinicians a supportive and business-savvy environment in which to grow their private practices. This support helps others build sustainable and ethical approaches that are also accessible to marginalized or under-resourced communities.

Artist & adventurist

I believe we do our best healing work when we are healing ourselves. My path towards wholeness takes me into creativity and exploration.

Here are a few of my watercolors

In my artistic practice, I have encountered deep wisdom that alters my perspective on life, reveals truths I hadn’t considered, helps me to surrender control, and brings me into a more honest connection with myself.

Every step of the process, from overcoming creative blocks to standing back to admire what I’ve created or where I’ve come, has something to show me about the true meaning of life.

What is your craving or desire? Do you feel blocks as well? How do you feel challenged to fully express or explore yourself and what wisdom lies within this struggle?

Adventure is a path. Real adventure, self-determined, self-motivated, often risky, forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world.
